It is not big, nor spectacular, in the sense of vastness. It is small, magnificent, and cozy. It has been my second home for many years.
You won’t find a spectacular number of monuments, but an impressive number of world-class modern architecture. You won’t find dramatic landscapes with fjords and mountains, but small beautiful sceneries, cozy towns, and villages, and magical Scandinavian light. You won’t find cold winters here like in the rest of Scandinavia, but friendly people who appreciate the good things in life.
What you will find here is a lot of HYGGE – an atmosphere of coziness, warmth, and a state of inner well-being in a simple, straightforward way.
If you would like to experience HYGGE, come to Denmark. If you appreciate the cozy little towns, sandy beaches with grassy dunes, calm and relaxing atmosphere, come to Denmark.
